Just In: South Korea Responds, Launches Ballistic Missile
It was reported earlier that North Korea had fired off yet another ballistic missile in yet another attempt to show their force. This comes after President Donald Trump and the United States imposed some of the harshest and strongest sanctions ever seen before. This was aimed at trying to resolve this problem without any military intervention. But they are quickly running out of other options.
Japan got another scare with this latest missile. It flew overhead which caused the warning alarms to go off. Officials warned people that they need to take cover in whatever way they can.
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe released a statement condemning the missile launch. It is apparent that he and his government are starting to get very fed up with this behavior from the North Koreans.
“If North Korea continues to walk this road, there will be no bright future. We need to get North Korea to understand that.”
“This time, the Japanese government once again, since immediately after the missile launch … had completely assessed the movements of the missile and we have taken all full necessary measures.”
“And under the firm Japan-US alliance, we will step up our level of alert to ensure the security and the sense of security of the Japanese people.”
Now South Korea has taken their own measures to ensure safety and show that they can and will respond to any attack quickly.
The South’s president Moon Jae-in very quickly got together a national security council (NSC) meeting and ordered a launch of a test-ballistic missile. This was done in a show of force against North Korea, who has been doing everything they can to intimidate their neighbors to the South.
This is good to see from South Korea as it shows they are ready to take action if it comes to that. We are still hoping that this can be resolved diplomatically. But those chances are getting slimmer and slimmer with every new missile launch by North Korea.
Very soon, the world will take notice of the reckless actions that North Korea has been responsible for and take action of their own.
